I’m the sports nut in the family…except it’s more like coaching soccer, playing soccer (year round), and obsessing over the finer components of the game.

My husband is quite confounded by this development.

This is great. My favorite line: “What child is this?” you inquire, forlornly, “who stands before me, a better door than a window?”

My “beloved” is a hockey fan. Do you know how long hockey lasts? Hmm? Mid-October until June. Five million games. But I do get a lot of knitting done, whilst listening to: “He shoots, he SCORES!” blaring from the TV.

I’d be turning it off, too. I can’t stand sports nor can I understand them. My hubby is lucky if he gets to watch one or two games a season. It all got better when I got him a riding lawnmower and the Food Network.
