along those lines, i bought some of a new product they make called sal suds, or something like that, which is good for cleaning anything in your house and it isn’t ammonia or other harsh stuff.

I too love Dr. Bronners for both myself and our 15 month old son. The only downside is that it DOES sting the eyes-so be careful when using it as a shampoo for the little ones!

hippie! back in the dotcom era, we had the world’s loosest dress code:

no shoes? ok, unless you’re meeting a client, then sandals.
no shirt? if you can pull it off and still get work done.
shorts to work? duh.

we only had one rule.

absolutely no patchouli. ever.

What’s not to love about this soap (fair trade! organic! nice-smelling!)? Only problem: The Mr likes Peppermint and I like the Almond. Compromise, compromise.

Cool! Go over to the Sarcastic Journalist. She has, somewhere in the archives, a very cool “recipe” for shampoo made from Dr. Bronner’s.

We’re lucky enough to live in a hippie town, so that I can buy homemade soap and laundry stuff from the resident soap maker. Plus, we have an awesome buyer’s club/food co-op that I can order alternative health/beauty stuff from. The upshot is that we smell totally like patchouli all the time, and the 14 year old DOES NOT SMELL LIKE TAG BODY SPRAY.

Thank goddess for small favors.
