Blog Baltimore

Blogring and resources for Baltimore-area bloggers

UPDATE! June 29, 2006

I am being overrun by spam on the RingSurf site, and it's getting increasingly difficult to sort the few real Baltimore blogs from the pervasive and numerable BUY OUR DRUG spam. So, for the time being, I'm going to put a block on new signups through the RingSurf site itself. I will still take your e-mailed submissions, though.

As always, thank you for your continued patience.

About

Blog Baltimore is a loose association of weblogs by the charming residents of the greater Baltimore metropolitan area. The content on these blogs varies from the mundane to the philosophical, from photographs to sushi recipes, travelogues to tirades. There is no unifying theme here, no ideological imperative. We're a fascinating cross-section of the varied and often obscure interests of Baltimoreans. And we'd love for you to hop aboard.

Wanna join? Do you qualify? Members should live in or around Baltimore and have a weblog. Blogs should be active [new posts in the last month] and blogring code must be displayed on your blog's front page. Only valid e-mail addresses, please.

What's a blogring, you ask? It's a way of connecting blogs whose authors share a common interest or characteristic. With a Blog Baltimore link on your blog, you'll be able to link to other Baltimore Bloggers in a circle of love and trust that even Martin O'Malley would be proud of.

Hmm. Or not. Never mind. Point is, blogrings are a tool for fostering community in the blogosphere. Come on and join us.

Visit the form sign-up page to get started. And when you sign up, keep this in mind: I run this here blogring, but I work and have a little baby, too, so I may not get to it right away. Patience, it is a virtue.
